Great neighborhood bar! The food is terrific, the staff are friendly, and they have a terrific selection of craft beers. The beer selection changes regularly which gives me an opportunity to taste other offerings. Having eaten there several times, I can say the food is excellent and there seems to always be something new on the menu. When in doubt, you cannot go wrong trying one of the 2312 burgers.

After eying up 2312 for a couple months, I finally had the opportunity to go there the other night with my mom for dinner. It was a rainy Tuesday night, so the restaurant and bar was pretty much empty (lucky us!). We took at seat on the restaurant side and the waiter/bartender came right over to take our drink orders. As many others have mentioned, 2312 has a great selection of beers in bottles and on tap, which exactly what this spot in Delco needs! My mom ordered the Ithaca Apricot Wheat (bottle) and I went with the Weyerbacher Merry Monks. No complaints here! A few minutes later, the waiter came back to take our orders. We split the truffle mac and cheese and the lamb burger. Both entrees came out piping hot and delicious! The mac and cheese had a delicious crust of baked cheeses and spice on the top and had a delicate truffle flavor. I couldn't quite tell if it was rosemary or thyme (I always get these two confused), but one of those flavors took over the dish. It was a little overwhelming for me, but my mom raved about it. The lamb burger was awesome! Cooked perfectly and super juicy with just the right amount of sharp provolone and broccoli raab. I've heard the burgers here are awesome and the lamb burger lived up to the hype. 2312 is an awesome addition to Drexel Hill! I'll definitely be going back (and bringing others with me).

Went in at 6:30 on a Friday and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious food and great selection of beer. I live 2 blocks away and drive past it often, and finally decided to check it out. I suggest you do as well, try a burger and a beer!

Giving this 4 solid stars. 2312 is the closest thing to a Gastropub I've found in Delco. We heard the burgers were great, so in the mood for a burger last night, we took the trek to Drexel Hill. Arrived 7pm and no cars outside, not a good sign to me. Went in and as usual sat at the (almost empty) bar, also a bad sign. To me. So glad we stayed. They had a nice selection of craft/draft beers. Blackboard with the description. I lean towards white Belgian wheats, and when I hesitated the bartender offered me a taste of 2 choices. Nice. He brought over a menu. One of the most interesting menus I've seen in awhile. I wanted everything on it. I went with the special Pulled Pork Nachos. C got the appetizer filet tips. I gotta tell ya, the filet tips were awesome! The pulled pork nachos were excellent too. Tender juicy pulled pork, lots of it, not fatty, seasoned perfectly with a mild kick. I took half home. Bartenders were personable, nice, and attentive. The bill came to $44 which included 2 top shelf G&T's and a craft beer. Well worth it to us. So for $55 we had a excellent meal and a nice time out. By 8 it was a lot more crowded, but this place should be jumping. A lot of local walkers (not the zombie kind). And...I loved the limited menu. Everything seemed very fresh. Some local joints have a 3 page menu. How can they keep all that food fresh? Answer: they don't. Never did get my burger. Will certainly be back for that.

We come here for quizzo Monday nights, always a lot of fun! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Fries are great, lots of great snacks. French onion soup was good as well. Looking forward to trying more from the menu.

Lots of fun and excellent prizes! We had a few drinks while playing. Drinks were very good. I suggest the Garrett Mojito it was so good! I will definitely be back!

Good tasty food, a little pricey but well worth it and not nearly as pricey as other options in nearby Ardmore or Haverford. Small menu selection but varying new specials and lots of craft brews. Quizzo on Monday nights - so fun!!

This is not the Garret Ale House any more! Very good food. Great beer selection. Pot roast sandwich and the lamb burger...just great. I'm excited to go there more. Staff was excellent, feels good in there. A bit pricey for delco, but not bad at all. Ill Trade quality for few more bucks any day. Support local small business.

Solid neighborhood bar. We've been three times now and each visit has been similar. Friendly bartender and patrons, tasty burgers and good beer selection. The prices are reasonable but they do tend to run out of menu items. Each visit has included one or two items unavailable. If you're in the area, it's worth a visit.

Always a great meal. Everything is so delicious. Great rotation of beers on tap too! Vince, behind the bar, is a great guy!

Yes this is truly a GEM tucked away on Garrett Rd. that I and I am sure everyone else has driven by in their time. I admit it, I did it, I confess I am that guy to have driven by without even giving them a chance. If it wasn't for an invite by everyones fan favorite "Yelper" Steven B. I would still to this day be driving by this place . Great atmosphere, a comfortable feeling as you walk in with ample seating in the dining area. The decor is placed in the perfect spots with the flat screens arranged so you can never miss a step. The juke box on the wall blends in perfectly with the bar, giving a little more added color. Then there is that beautiful list, yes the list we all know as the crafted beers on tap. Strategically placed so you can see at every vantage point what is on tap next to the fine selections of liquor for those who like that extra octane. Plus, (yes I know there is more to this fine place) the two guys behind that bar Vince and Mark are reliable, these guys interact with the patrons offering their insight on issues. That right there is a comfort, because I have been to a few bars where they just pour and walk while looking for that tip. Vince and I along with Steven were doing "Bar trivia " most taps in the delco area, or what place offers pizza and a beer in Havertown, and with out hesitation Vince calls us out on other trivia. That's what you'll experience , which turns you into a repeat. We are not finished, lets get into the kitchen that this bar offers, and yes I would have loved to have given this guy a high five. The presentation , flavor, to that first bite of just an explosion of flavor hitting the taste buds like a balloon to a needle types. I love food and when something just amazes you like this, words can't be expressed, just facial expressions of joy come out. Started off with a bacon and cheese dip with toasted baguette bread sliced surrounding this lovely dish. I love bacon , now they made a dip blended with cheese that is hot, mouth watering people.. simply delicious. I then furthered my adventure with the "Italiano cheese burger" . This is a perfect blend of Italian sausage mixed with beef topped with cheese, along with a slice of prosciutto on top cooked to a medium. AMAZING !! The sausage blended in with every bite was like angels singing Hallelujah with harps in the back. My partner in crime Steve went with a chicken and chorizo flat bread with melted cheese. I had the honor of trying this masterpiece.. this work of art, the chicken with nice cuts of chorizo , had an amazing kick to it. Flavorful, enjoyable I was torn between my excellent cheese burger that I did not want to give up, to Steve's flat bread. Both are great , now I am wondering if these 3 items are that good, I wonder how these other meals are. With every bite I was washing it down with great crafts, from a Lancaster winter ale to now a fan favorite Pa. St. Nicholas Bock. In all this whole experience was unbelievable, great conversations, great company, great food. Thank you Steve for making me stop in to this fine establishment. Solid 4 on my end !

We arrived here late on a tuesday night. The place was not very busy but there was a good crowd for a weekday and a rainy one at that. We ordered the sampler platter and the lamb burger. The lamb burger was done great, with sharp provolone. The drink list is pretty good and they have a good rotation. Would be going back.

My first visit here was on a Sunday afternoon and I expected it to be kind of empty. When service is slow during an empty period, I suspect the kitchen is focused somewhere else. OK - I get it. But to also get the order wrong is a little sad. The food that we received was really good and my partner's drink (something with tequila and limoncello) hit the spot (I did manage to get a sip in). I look forward to going again when it's a little busier as it looks like the place has a pretty good vibe if you're younger and post college (I can fit that mold sometimes as I'm back in school). We really like the fact that it's just two stops away from us on the 101 or 102 trolley. That means we can both have a drink or two!

This place is good but not fabulous. I expected fabulous from the reviews, but it didn't hold up. They try hard but this is not a true gastropub. The decor in here is definitely bar/pub. Dark wooden tables and floors. A long bar in the first room with high top tables and a large waiting area in the other room where there are 10 regular tables. There is one TV in the dining room which was on mute and showing a golf tournament. The place consists of two storefronts and there is plenty of natural light coming through up front but if you are seated near the windows at the end if the day be prepared for a face full of sun. The food is good. Good ingredients. However, it's the finishes that are lacking. We ordered the fried goat cheese. There were three discs with a cranberry chutney on them and the discs were sitting on some romaine and radicchio. No dressing at all on the greens. The acidity of a light dressing would have provided a nice balance. My dining partner ordered the crab cake sandwich with the house chips. It was very good with little breading in the filling and much cheaper than other Delaware county establishments with the same sandwich. It came with tartar sauce rather than remoulade but was still OK. The chips were tossed in some white stuff that tasted more like sugar than salt. Odd. I ordered the fish and chips and got two perfectly fried pieces of haddock atop a heaping portion of fries. I took most of them home. They were tossed in Old Bay seasoning-not my favorite. I would have asked them to leave it out but I did not see it on the menu. Service was friendly but disappointing. For a while there was only one waitress. At first there weren't that many people there but she was still slow. We were there an extra 45 mins based on service. Beer choice on tap are interesting and reasonably priced.

Just there again--the October burger of the month is a burger saltimboca (means "Jump in your mouth"). Awesome (as usual)! Very high quality beef, broccoli rabe, sharp provolone, and a sly fox Oxtoberfest on the side! Whew!

We went to 2312 Garrett Bar upon the recommendation of friends and I read up on it before going to see what was in store. I went in ready for the bacon and cheddar dip and some awesome bartenders! We had a little snafu at the beginning with our server: she just didn't come over to get our drink order for 5 or 10 minutes. But after that, it was smooth sailing...though, I didn't get to talk to those bartenders. Since I had read about the bacon and cheddar dip, we ordered that up for the table - perfection. Just enough bacon to get a smokey flavor, and lots of cheese to satisfy the savory tooth in all of us. (Do you have a savory tooth?) For dinner, we got the fried goat cheese (definitely an appetizer portion, but fantastic!) and the pot roast sandwich, which my boyfriend loved! The meat was tender and juicy, and the vegetables were plentiful and well seasoned. My friend ordered the grilled cheese, which was no ordinary grilled cheese! It included a cranberry sauce or relish on it that gave it a more complex taste and brought out the cheeses' flavor as well! At the end of the meal, we had requested that they bring us out dessert with candles in them, since it was all of our birthdays. No one sang happy birthday, but they did oblige with the candles. We also ordered a few beers while we were there, which were unique, from a light fruity white beer that smelled like bananas to a wheaty brown ale with lots of rich flavor. At the end of our meal, on our way out, we met the owner, who seemed like a great guy and welcomed us to the restaurant. He had been by to our table once or twice during the meal to check on things, and you can tell he's very invested in his establishment. A great place to check out if you're in the area.

This place satisfies every time. It's never crowded. The interior is spacious and you can easily swing a sandwich or burger and a couple pints with two people spending well under $50. What more could you ask for? I probably come here once a month to eat and while it's disappointing that their small menu rarely changes, it works because the few items they do offer are done right. Their specials are usually an amped up version of a burger but they don't overdo it. And that's what I love about 2312. It's simple and doesn't try to be anything but a great neighborhood pub with affordable fare.

My boyfriend & I had a horrible experience at this place. when we walked in no one tried to seat us, so we just sat at the bar. We sat right by the beer taps and there were gnats everywhere. At that point I decided it would be best to order bottled beer. seriously, the amount of gnats was absurd, we actually moved to the other end of the bar. I guess they were having some kind of party there the night I came in and there were little kids running everywhere, which was super annoying. they were also understaffed. we ordered food, two sandwiches that came with fries and it took about 40 mins to come out. asked for ketchup once we got our food & we never got it. Once we were done our food we waited over 20 minutes for our check. while waiting for our check we got to hear a great convo between the ppl having the party and the bar staff about how poor their event was. the entire time the staff just blamed their owners and told the party they had to wait until he was in to rectify the situation. Talk about dinner theater. food was okay, service was almost non existent, gnats were present. I don't plan on ever returning. good beer selection, but I can find that elsewhere in town without the drama and bugs.

Would it surprise in Passyunk East or Fairmout or Fishtown's bustling gastropub landscape? Not by a longshot. Is it best beer bar in Landsdown? Probably. Bottom line: three stars in the 'burbs, one in Philly. So this is a compromise. Went here for dinner and had the special burger (canadian bacon, Angus beef, lettuce, tomato and some imported cheese). Asked for medium rare, got medium (the usual for me, to be honest--can't seem to ever get around it). Burger was passable (and had a great charcoal taste), and fries would have done better to be handcut. Beer selection was great. I had a delicious Blue Point Rastafarye and Sixpoint 3Beans (Baltic Porter). Both lovely. My friend ordered an IPA and received something that wasn't an IPA (tasted murkey, seasoned). It was a mistake and I am 100 percent certain of it--but we didn't get the acknowledgment or the actual beer in return. (But the barkeep was really great otherwise, to be honest.)

Great food, great rotating beer selection, reasonable prices, friendly staff, awesome fish and chips. What more could you ask for? Their menu is small, but that bodes well with me. They're not trying to meddle with dishes they shouldn't be meddling with. It's just your standard bar food, bumped up a notch. But back to those fish and chips... The fish was so flavorful, the breading perfectly crispy and not too thick, not too thin. Yum!!

I really wanted this place to be awesome. I did. But it was not to be. Positives included a great beer selection and a nice wine list too (which in most Delco bars, is usually overlooked!) The bar's set up was standard but they do have a separate room for food. I liked what they were trying to do with newer lightning and a seating area in the dining room. That being said, on to the food. We tried the buffalo hot wings which in exchange for sauced were more like barely sauced. Next came the Truffled Mac and Cheese. I love truffle oil so anything truffled immediately catches my attention. However, I didn't like the choice of cheese in combination with the truffle oil. There seemed to be a conflict between the astringency (or bitterness) of the cheese and the truffle flavor. I wanted it to be smooth and creamy mixed with savory but I just kept thinking the dish was too bitter. Next up was the Pot Roast Sandwich and the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich. But only first after a wait. Not a 10 or 15 minute wait mind you, but a grueling 45 minute wait. Upon arrival, the chicken sandwich was cooked well and flavorful. The Pot Roast Sandwich was cold. So cold, that the cheese layered on top was not melted and when biting into the sandwich it was cold to the palate. The accompanying chips with the sandwich were okay if a bit cold as well. The spices used to flavor them were unexpected but tasty. The salad accompanying the chicken sandwich was fresh with tiny tomatoes, onion and cucumber. Overall, we loved the beer selection and atmosphere. But the food service at this point was not good. Service wise, we didn't find the bartenders to be extremely friendly but they were apologetic when our food didn't come out in a timely fashion and did buy us a drink for our wait. I'm inclined to think eating here is a crap shoot. It has potential to be good but it can just as easily be a bad experience.

It's a great local place in Delco. Best beer selection around and NON-Smoking!! I'v eaten there a few times now, but last night I had the Lamb Burger and I was freaking blown away. It was perfect. I got rid of tyne broccoli ran and provolone, and chose sharp cheddar. This is by far one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. The rest of the menu is very good, but the Lamburger... you have to try it, it's stunningly good!

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this local watering hole was. The service was attentive and friendly. Since not much of a consumer of beer or cocktails, I'd rather consume my calories in the form of tasty morsels. This place does not disappoint when it comes to gastro pub fare. I had the cowboy burger as my entree and had the chorizo flat bread as my appetizer. Both were delicious. I am already looking forward to try their other options, including their shrimp taco. This will be my go to place when I want a cold frosty one with some tasty pub food.

If you live in or around Delco I'm betting you've missed this place and that would be your loss! These folks place themselves right between a dive bar and a gastro pub and you'll likely to be very comfortable here. I've been here a few times and tried both the libations and the food. Regarding beer: they have about a dozen taps and do a nice job with the variety. If you are a beer aficionado, chat with Vince. He knows his beer. If you're looking for comfort food try their Truffle Mac & Cheese ($8.50). It's savory and delicious. These folks also do a Sunday served brunch. The menu is limited but tasty. I tried the Breakfast Burger ($10). It was cooked to order with bacon, cheese and a fried egg and served on an excellent LeBus bun. There were home fries on the side and it also came with a warm cinnamon bun. If you want to sit at the bar and chat with a supurb bartender, stop by on Thursday nights. "Ace" will engage you with great conversation and he makes a mean drink. There are plenty of bars in the area but these folks are truly worth a visit.

A great bar in the Upper Darby/Southern Delco area. It's in an out-of the way area off of Lansdowne Ave, and if you don't know it's there, you may just drive right by it. Inside is modern, but not uber-hip, smoke-free, and has a few tv's around. Good beer selection of micro's on tap. They also have a good variety of food, with both standard pub food, and a few other interesting items on the menu. Good variety of vegetarian foods. If you're in the area it's a good choice for food & drinks. Only knock on them is they don't open till 4 o'clock.

What an improvement over Garret Alehouse. That place sucked. Nice Belgian cafe, best beer selection in dhill that ive seen. Pretty decent food. If you like the feel of Eulogy in Philly or Monk's Cafe, you may like this place. Come check it out, nice work to owner!

I was excited to try this place. It's known as a Gastropub which I love and there aren't that many in this area. However, I was not crazy about the food. In fact I was a little disappointed. We got an appetizer sampler, crab cake sandwich, a roast sandwich and a special burger. Oh and the Brussels. Everything was just 'eh'. Almost like we could have cooked the same thing and it would have been better tasting. Very plain and bland. It wasnt bad food, just ok. The service was ok, felt as if the server was new because they seemed very hesitant. Not bad, but not great. Even the bartender didn't seem that with it. For example we weren't sure if we should be seated or just take a table. Tried to look at the bartender for some direction and he saw us but did not acknowledge. I then had to go up and ask for napkins and got the same thing. I used to bartend and still serve tables and I always make sure to acknowledge everyone I see. Even if I just say someone will be right with you. Maybe a manager will see this and take this into consideration. Beer selection was good. I'm very much into craft beers and thought they had a decent selection. Overall I'll probably go back and check it out again, just wasn't anything to rave about. When I go again, I'll probably just sit at the bar and get an appetizer, not for dinner again.

Really 3.5 stars, but I'm feeling generous because there's no other bar nearby in upper Darby/ Drexel hill area this upscale with great food and micro brew beer selections. The fried goat cheese appetizer is my favorite. The black bean burger is awesome. So is the goat cheese n cranberry salad. Was dissappointed with the cheesecake. But all other food was great. Good beer selection, but not great like center city places. Several draft selections, unfortunately nothing I like ( Belgian or German wheats) except the over-rated franziskanaer. But there's a lot of other choices for beer lovers who aren't as picky as me. Overall, great place, and I go here often.

Nice little neighborhood place that we've visited a few times. I would go much more often if the menu were more diverse. But been is clearly the main focus, and food is secondary. Everything we've tried has been very good, but it's "high end" bar food - burgers, mac and cheese etc. The service varies - some nights great, some nights very slow. DH thinks the food is pricey for what it is, since everything is a la carte.

  • Melissa S.

Pleasantly surprised during our first visit! The beer selection is solid and the food was really good as well. The menu itself is rather limited - about 6-8 items each for appetizers, salads and sandwiches, but they are quality options. We'll be back for sure!

Pretty awesome. Wasn't too crazy at the ambiance at first being a new customer but it grew on me. Greattttttttttttt lamb burger. Amazing. The wings and onion rings are also pretty good. Beer selection is good and there is also a nice bottle selection. Not to mention great rock music played all night!

I HATE that I have to write this review, because I really loved this place and wanted to keep loving it. I think that's what makes this so bad for me. I once raved about this place and now I'm embarrassed that I recommended it to friends. I also hate complaining at restaurants and RARELY do it, but there were so many problems this time... we all agreed we had to speak up. We went for a friend's birthday, and let me just say, we feel so bad that her birthday dinner was ruined here, that we are probably going to take her out again for a birthday re-do. Our waitress was unable to describe any of the beers, and I was really hoping to explore the extensive beer selection. When I finally did ask for my favorite, the Ithaca Apricot Wheat, I was told they were all out. Every time I come here, that is what I order, so I was kind of lost. I just think that is a major no-no for a place that is supposed to be known for its extensive beer menu. We waited for our food for over an hour, and other tables around us who had arrived after we did seemed to get their food right away! We were only a table of 4. Our waitress blamed this on an 8-top table nearby, but I think there was definitely something wrong because I've come here before with a larger party and had better service. Did she forget to put our order in? Did the kitchen screw up? At one point, she said "I can't control which slips they pick up first in the kitchen" OK, then maybe that's a problem... When our food finally did arrive, I was given the wrong burger. There was no bacon on it, as I had ordered it. When I asked about it, the waitress said "The cook has assured me that there IS definitely bacon on that burger" And I responded "Well, would you like to bring it back to him and show him, because there isn't?" I felt like they didn't believe me or something and I was talked to like I was a child. I did not appreciate the condescending tone. My mom ordered the chicken fingers, we thought that would be a safe bet. Somehow they managed to screw it up! The chicken was so tough and chewy it was hard to eat. The "honey mustard" she asked for was so spicy she almost choked. We asked, "Is this really honey mustard?" And our waitress said "Oh yeah, we use a spicy mustard to make it." It would have been a good idea to let the customer know that information BEFORE ordering/choking on it. Honey mustard is usually a sweet and mild sauce. I wish the bad news stopped there, but the night continued on its downward spiral. Instead of asking us if we wanted dessert (we did) she took it upon herself to bring out a chocolate torte for my friend's birthday. She said, "this is on the house, sorry for the wait" and then emphasized, "Dessert is on the house, but only for YOU" (to the birthday girl) It seemed weird because we ALL had to sit there and wait, and 2 of us had been given either the wrong order or poor quality order... so why didn't we get a dessert? We felt like this was poor customer service, especially the way she talked to us. We asked for the carrot cake anyway, to which she replied "Oh we're all out" - So what was the point of telling us all the desserts if all they had was the chocolate torte?? My friend asked if she could have a fork for the torte, and the waitress said "But I gave you a SPOON, see!" I don't understand why she couldn't have a fork, and why she had to answer her like that. Both our waitress and another waitress hovered around our table picking up silverware and water glasses even though we were not finished. Then, another waitress insisted we let her bring us more water after we said "no thank you" - at that point we wanted to get out of there. On the way out, we stopped in the bathroom, and the water was scalding hot - leaving red marks! It was also hard to turn on. We left laughing about how doomed the night seemed to be, but everyone agreed we would never be back.My friend also asked to have her leftovers wrapped up, but it took so long for our waitress to get the box, that we ended up leaving without it. We think she must have just forgot that too. I feel so sad about it, because I really did love this place. After this experience though, I don't think I can try this place again. There were just too many things that went wrong: out of beer, out of dessert, very poor customer service, wrong food order, and a super-long wait. Also, the manager/owner used to always be there and come around when I've been there in the past, but not this time. He wasn't there at all. I'm wondering if that is why people slacked off?? I hope whatever the problem is, they get it fixed soon.

We really want to like 2312, especially since it's in walking distance for us, but we have always had mixed experiences. It was crowded when we got there yesterday, but a 2-top was clearly empty. We waited for over 5 minutes before the waitress at the hostess station even looked up from her work to acknowledge our presence. She told us there would be a wait. At that point another waitress pointed out the empty table to her coworker. After being seated, we asked a question about the beers on the chalkboard. Our waitress asked if we wanted a "cheat sheet." Sure, why not? 10 minutes later she finally returned with a computer spreadsheet of the beers with their descriptions. Another 10 minutes passed, and she returned to take our order. Our first 4 beer choices (which were on the cheat sheet!) we're not available. Same deal with our food. We ordered, only to find out 10 minutes later that they were out of one of the items we ordered. Keep in mind that they do not have an extensive menu to begin with! Honestly, the wait staff needs better training. If you are going to specialize in craft beers, then the staff should know about them. If you are out of a menu item, the staff should be informed. They comped us a beer for the trouble, but all in all it was another mixed review night at a place we would like to love!

Have visited many times, good food and good friendly service. We have never had a bad meal from here and the relaxed atmosphere is very nice. A must try...

We had our company Xmas dinner here recently, after I had attended an event here and others had heard great reviews. Our party was welcomed and made comfortable by the staff. We were quickly told the specials and brought waters. All orders came out timed well, and the food was enjoyed. Personally I tried the fried goat cheese which I had before, it was still outstanding. Not overly greasy, and the cranberry sauce really adds a great dimension to it. I also had the black bean burger which was ok. Not my first choice and not best veggie burger ever, but it the flavors were good. It had a little spice but nothing overpowering. The potato chips that come with it are outstanding and worth the trip to the bar by themselves. They are fresh made, salty and sweet with a hint of something else I can't place. I will def be ordering them again! For the most part our group had burgers and sandwiches. It seemed like people liked them and they were cooked as ordered. In the future I think our group will order less appetizers since over half couldn't finish their meal. The special mussels in sixpoint sweet action were also a hit. They have a good draft selection, although something a little lighter would be appreciated since it was mostly darker seasonal brews.

I went to 2312 Garrett last night for dinner with some friends. Our friends that live in Lansdowne say this is one over the better options in their area. The food was good and the beer selection was great. We tried the special brussel sprouts and bacon, because I always love to try brussels whenever I see them on the menu. This was unfortunately a disappointment. They were not crispy at all, in fact they were soggy. Oh well - I guess good brussel sprouts must be a tricky thing to pull off, can't say I've ever done it myself, but I have had much better ones at other restaurants. I got the crab cake sandwich, which was perfectly OK. Everyone else I was with got another type of sandwich. Overall the food was OK (definitely 3 stars) but the best part of this place is the bar/beer. Can't end this review without mentioning the strange service. I guess you have to go to this place to see what I mean...

Amazing gem in Delco. Great beer selection picked by a buyer who is a true beer fan. Clean, good food, not super bright, a nice atmosphere. Great jukebox and insanely friendly bar tenders who not only remember your name but also recommend great beers. The owner is also a really nice, personable guy. This bar kicks Upper Darby / Lansdowne / Drexel Hill area up a few notches. Bottom line, this bar can compete with ANY bar in Philly. And actually beat most of them. GO!

Me likes this place! Rotating draft and great bottle selection. Check! Always-changing menu. Check! Great service. Check! Decent prices. Check! Friendly servers. Check! Been there a few times, and no complaints so far. I really like their burgers, potato chips, and their truffle mac and cheese is delish! Lots of Ts around the bar to catch the game They're on Facebook, and they keep me up to date on their specials and events.

Vince is great behind the bar, great beer selection, friendly atmosphere. I haven't tried the food yet, but everything looks good. Parking is available on the street, can get busy but I have always found a spot.

They always have a great selection of craft beer available and a food special. Their food is good but a little over priced. However, the beer is very reasonably priced so it makes up for it. If you like craft beer, this is the place to go.

Ive gone a few times. Some of my girlfriends love it there Im on the fence. The beer selection is good but kinda pricey, Id rather go to Mickeys around the corner for the same selection and better prices. The staff is extremely unfriendly. Ive eaten there twice and my servers were very anti social, kinda rude and werent the best. The food is good. the bartenders are sooty and assume your an idiot and are unappreciative when you ask about a certain beet. Also, the crowd is unfriendly. Ive never been able to approach or have a conversation with someone I didnt already know in the bar.

Like many, I drove by 2312 many time and never noticed it. A friend mentioned it to me several years ago and I've been frequenting it ever since. The food is great, including the recent changes and additions to the menu. You won't find this beer selection anywhere else in the area. I have even met some customers who drive out from Philly for the very reasonable beer prices. All the bartenders are very knowledgeable about their beer (something you don't often see in Delco). One warning though, a vodka club soda was quite expense but this isn't the type of place that you'd normally come to for vodka.

Yum!!

I had the chipotle chicken sandwich, which was delicious but on the pricy side for a suburb joint. Garlic wings were bland, but okay. Overall, the food was very good but the service was mediocre.

Went in for the eagles - lions game today. Decided to try it for the 2 dollar lagers. 1. The beer was flat. 2. The cheese for the fries was like water. Seriously, skin on top, rest like runny water. 3. There were 4 customers in the place and rather then keep our beers fresh, the bartender stocked the chests with bottles of beer for the other non-existent customers. 4. Once again, 4 people in the bar and the guy was re-using our glasses, not giving fresh frosted ones. I can somewhat forgive this practice when the bar is crowded, but 4 customers, come on. 5. They say to come in for the game, and while they have HD TV's, they don't get HD channels. I finally had enough and left with a beer 80 percent full.

Really nice place for where it is in Delco. The place is clean and nice. Bartender was sweet and accommodating. The beers they had on tap were not that impressive but the bartender was nice about letting us sample before making a decision. The crowd was pretty local. Mostly made up of Bonner/Prendie/UD grads. The funny thing was that they varied in age from I'd say early twenties to early 50s. Totally prefer this place to many others in the area. Would probably go 3.5 stars in reality. P.S. Bring dollar bills for the jukebox or plan on suffering at the poor taste of others in the bar.

Been here more than a few time, the food is good but the homemade potatoes chips are excellent. The service is always very good. The beer selection is great a lot of craft beers. A suggestion for the menu would be to add a steak, chicken and seafood entrées.

Really love this neighborhood gem. Great atmosphere, interesting and varied beer selection. Well crafted bar food. I'm a wing fan and these were great wings, very meaty, crispy skin and perfectly cooked. The pot roast sandwich was enjoyed by the two guys at our table and they said it was tasty. The goat cheese, cranberry , and walnut salad was huge and delicious. We had a really fun evening!

Went here to hear a friends band play the weekend of St. Patricks Day. The food was very good, and the wait staff was very attentive. We ate a lot, drank a lot and enjoyed good music. The owner came over to your table a few times to check on our service. The atomosphere is great (not what one would expect for the area). The different varieties of beer was also a plus.

The food is generally decent, although not good enough to be considered a gastropub (the food would need to be a bit more daring and interesting for that). Good beer menu, though, and that saves it.

The truffle mac & cheese is delicious and savory. I am so happy to have a gastropub in delco! 2312 has a great selection of beers, with Franziskaner being my favorite. I'm so glad that I dont have to drive all the way to the city to find gourmet food, microbrews, and good company!

After a horrible experience at Miller's Ale House, our party of four made our way to 2312. This is a place I've know about for some time having lived near by when it was the Friendly Tavern. It's gone through a number of names and styles, but this time I believe they got it right. Seats at the bar were immediatley available and the Flyers were on the couple of TV's tastefully placed around the room. Dim lighting, and a modern design was warm and comfortable. The bar staff was attentive and knowledgeable about the very nice draft list that was written on chalk boards behind the bar. Drinks in hand, we ordered a Flatbread special with Chorizo sausage, peppers and chunky tomatoes and a tastey cheese. Large slices of sausage, lots of flavor, but the flatbread could have been crisper. Dinner were a very appetizing Grilled Cheese and Bacon sandwich, a Black Bean Burger that was large, moist and delicious. Our friends enjoyed a some Chicken Fingers, to many to finish, and a large plate of well prepared grilled Brussel Sprouts. Fish and chips was the choice for our friend and smiles were evidence that all enjoyed their meal. Around 9PM, live music was performed by Griz. With an acoustic guitar and a great voice, we sang along to some great covers from The Beatles to Paul Simon and others. 2312 Garrett is a wonderful addition to a mostly barren dining experience in the Drexel Hill area. Very Good food, a nice rotating draft list and a happy, attentive wait staff make this a place we will return to soon.

I went there a few nights ago. I really liked it. I had the truffle mac & cheese, it was Amazing, the cherry tomatoes on it where SOOOOOO perfect! I also had a coke (which they only have in little bottles) & we both had burgers, mine was the lamb one, WOW, seriously WOW! I really liked the atmosphere & the waitress was quite nice (she said she was a kindergarten teacher, too bad politicians dont want to pay teachers enough money that they dont need 2nd jobs.) Anyway the food was great, we also loved the homemade sweet/salty potato chips. I just have a few suggestions, unrefrigerated coke bottles are fine, but for a classier place, coke bottles from Mexico (cane sugar, not high fructose corn syrup) would really be a plus. Nicer silverware ASAP is a must, cheap silverware at an upscale place is a ruiner. On the way out the bartender heard me talking about the large beer selection, started talking to me about it, he was Super nice & made my experience even better!

The staff at 2312 are very friendly and helpful. The Boulder Sweaty Betty Blonde beer suggested by Chrissy was a great choice. We chose the Corn and Blueberry Salad for an appetizer and sent our complements to the chef. I had the Goat Cheese Stuffed Lamb Berger which was outstanding and my better half had the Build Your Own Burger which was also excellent. We look forward to our next visit.

Hard to believe you can find great gastropub food in the culinary desert of Delco, but here it is. The truffle mac and cheese is superb, the burgers were perfect and the homemade potato chips were pretty spectacular. (Try the soups.) The only complaint I had was that the dining room was a little cold. (hint, hint) Other than that, a dining experience equal to anything in my favorite Fishtown pubs.

We stopped by on a Friday evening around 8:00 p.m. There was enough room for the 3 of us to sit by the bar area or in the restaurant area. We sat by the bar so we could watch the Eagles game. (Definitely a great place to hang out and watch Eagles games.) Very friendly staff, who recommended beers based on our preferences. We tried the pasta primavera, pulled pork and cobb salad and all the items were tasty but the portions were small. Overall a great addition to the Lansdowne/ Drexel Hill area.

this place is a nice little gem that can be counted on for a good solid meal. burgers and salads are great. desserts are usually quite above average. always a good beer selection, lots of micro-brews, not a great place to watch a game or be a hooligan if that's what you're into. NOT KID FRIENDLY, i don't know why people bring their kids to places like this, it boggles my mind but don't do it. management, bartenders and staff are usually great and reward repeat costumers

I've been to 2312 three times in the last 8 weeks, and as far as the food is concerned, I've had two really excellent experiences and one good one. As far as the owner is concerned, I've been treated exceptionally well every time, even last night when my party showed up just a few minutes before the kitchen was set to close. They seated us in the dining area (which they had been preparing to close), they kept the kitchen staff around, and they were incredibly pleasant about the whole thing. We tried to order quickly to minimize the intrusion, but we couldn't have been made to feel more comfortable. Note, though, that Sunday night kitchen hours end at 9 p.m. (we didn't know that ahead of time). My first trip there, the waitress was rather surly and inattentive, but that has proven to be the exception, and everyone else has been very friendly and helpful. Also, it's so nice to have good food and great beers at a reasonable price close to home! The options used to be settling for cheap, mediocre takeout or pizza, an incredible-but-big-money meal at Sycamore, or trek to the city. Now, if I don't feel like cooking or if I want a snack and a beer on a weeknight, I can head here. The menu is small but has variety, the dishes are creative and tasty (and the simple standards are done well), and the rotating specials always sound good. Vegetarian options are present, and pretty good overall. I'm glad to have 2312 around.

Great local place to watch the games or grab a bite to eat. Have been there a few times now and really like the low-key atmosphere. Also, on my second visit, the bartender knew my drink before I ordered, having remembered what I ordered on my first visit, which was a few weeks prior. Never too crowded, but not empty either.

Will never return, for the following reasons: 1) service (barb(?)) was horrible, slow, awkward and just weird. 2) credit card machine down. 3) queso burger of the month -- the worst burger I ever had. 4) $9 burger that doesn't come with fries 5) $9 burger and they charges for fried onions Will never return. We left and went to Royal Tavern for a great burger.

Cool bar for this area. Beer selection is great. Bartenders are very cool. Lots of good microbrews. They have a good selection of imports in bottles/cans too, i like English and German beers, they have a few of each. They actually have Franziskaner which is unheard of in these parts. Food is good too. If you like good booze but not the typical fawking Upper darby crowd this place might be for you.

Whew!

One of our regulars to go to. Always a great time. Food is awesome, menu is great but also tons of different specials for food & drinks that are different & soo good! Staff very friendly. Whether your going to eat or just hanging out for drinks , a nice casual atmosphere.

Good tasty food, a little pricey but well worth it and not nearly as pricey as other options in nearby Ardmore or Haverford. Small menu selection but varying new specials and lots of craft brews. Quizzo on Monday nights - so fun!!

They always have a great selection of craft beer available and a food special. Their food is good but a little over priced. However, the beer is very reasonably priced so it makes up for it. If you like craft beer, this is the place to go.

(hint, hint) Other than that, a dining experience equal to anything in my favorite Fishtown pubs.

this place is a nice little gem that can be counted on for a good solid meal. burgers and salads are great. desserts are usually quite above average. always a good beer selection, lots of micro-brews, not a great place to watch a game or be a hooligan if that's what you're into.
